Research

In addition to my clinical work, I also engage in theoretical research related to the intersection of cultural psychology and the integration of faith/spirituality into therapy. Some core questions that drive my passion for research include: How can psychology and theology/spirituality work together to mutually inform one another unto a deeper understanding of our human condition? What does it look like to include faith/spirituality in therapy with both cultural and interpersonal sensitivity? And how can psychology as a discipline develop a deeper openness and willingness to listen to insights that come from diverse cultural and faith traditions?

I have peer-reviewed publications in academic journals in a variety of disciplines, including theoretical and philosophical psychology, indigenous psychology, and New Testament studies. I studied under Dr. Alvin Dueck while attaining my Ph.D., and I am currently working with Dr. Dueck to publish my dissertation with Springer.
